Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Yellowstone Wealth Group respects the privacy of clients, prospective clients, website visitors, professional advisers, and business contacts.

This Privacy Policy describes the information Yellowstone may collect, how information may be used and disclosed, how it is protected, and the choices available to individuals.

This Privacy Policy applies to Yellowstone Wealth Group’s website and Yellowstone’s own coordination and administrative activities.

Alliance Partners and other professional providers may maintain separate privacy notices applicable to information they process through their own professional relationships.

2. Information We May Collect

Depending upon the interaction, Yellowstone may collect identifying and contact information such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, companies, professional titles, and communication preferences.

When voluntarily provided in connection with planning or coordination activities, Yellowstone may also receive information concerning family composition, business interests, professional advisers, estate-planning objectives, financial circumstances, assets and liabilities, income, ownership interests, trusts, insurance, investment relationships, residency or citizenship considerations, beneficiaries, and planning objectives.

Yellowstone may also collect communications, appointment details, documents voluntarily submitted, professional correspondence, and records concerning interactions with Yellowstone.

Website systems may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, device type, browser type, referring source, pages viewed, session information, general geographic information derived from an IP address, and cookie or analytics information.

3. Sensitive Information

Because Yellowstone serves families and businesses with complex financial circumstances, certain engagements may involve sensitive information.

Website visitors should not submit highly sensitive information through a general website form unless specifically requested.

Sensitive documents and information should be transmitted using a secure method designated by Yellowstone or the relevant Alliance Partner.

4. Sources of Information

Yellowstone may obtain information:

  • directly from you;
  • through website forms;
  • during telephone calls, meetings, or video conferences;
  • through emails and other communications;
  • from a family member or authorized representative;
  • from professional advisers with your authorization;
  • from Alliance Partners where permitted and appropriate;
  • from publicly available sources;
  • from technology and website service providers; and
  • from other sources authorized by law.

5. How Yellowstone Uses Information

Yellowstone may use information to:

  • respond to inquiries;
  • schedule and administer consultations;
  • understand planning objectives;
  • evaluate whether Yellowstone’s services may be appropriate;
  • coordinate professional resources;
  • identify potentially relevant Alliance Partners;

  • manage professional and business relationships; and
  • communicate with clients and prospective clients.

Yellowstone will not intentionally use sensitive financial information for unrelated advertising purposes.

6. Alliance Partner Information Sharing

Yellowstone’s business model involves coordination among specialized professionals.

When reasonably necessary to evaluate, coordinate, implement, or administer services requested by a client—and subject to applicable law, contractual requirements, confidentiality obligations, and client authorization—Yellowstone may share relevant information with an appropriate Alliance Partner.

Such providers may include financial professionals, investment advisers, attorneys, law firms, CPAs, accounting firms, trust companies, trustees, insurance professionals, corporate-service providers, international fiduciary providers, consultants, custodians, and other professional advisers.

Yellowstone seeks to limit such disclosures to information reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.

Once an Alliance Partner establishes its own professional relationship with a client, information processed by that provider may be governed by the provider’s own privacy notice and regulatory obligations.

7. Service Providers

Yellowstone may use third parties to support its business operations, including website hosting, information technology, cybersecurity, email, cloud storage, customer relationship management, document management, accounting, scheduling, communications, analytics, professional administration, and similar functions.

Those providers may process information on Yellowstone’s behalf subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

8. Legal and Compliance Disclosures

Yellowstone may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law;
  • respond to a subpoena, court order, regulatory inquiry, or lawful governmental request;
  • establish or defend legal rights;
  • investigate fraud or unlawful activity;
  • protect Yellowstone, its clients, or others;
  • respond to cybersecurity incidents; or
  • satisfy applicable professional, compliance, or regulatory obligations.

9. Business Transactions

If Yellowstone is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, information may be disclosed as reasonably necessary in connection with that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections and applicable law.

10. Sale of Personal Information

Yellowstone’s current policy is not to sell confidential client financial information to data brokers or unrelated third parties for monetary consideration.

Yellowstone does not intend to use sensitive client financial information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If Yellowstone materially changes these practices, this Privacy Policy will be updated and any legally required notices or choices will be provided.

11. Cookies and Analytics

The website may use cookies and similar technologies necessary for site functionality, security, analytics, user preferences, and performance measurement.

Non-essential cookies should be controlled through Yellowstone’s cookie-consent interface where required or appropriate.

Additional details are provided in the Yellowstone Cookie Policy.

12. Data Security

Yellowstone maintains administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect personal information appropriate to the nature of information maintained and Yellowstone’s operations.

These measures may include access controls, password protections, system security, vendor-management practices, secure document transmission methods, staff procedures, and other safeguards.

No data-storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Individuals should notify Yellowstone promptly if they believe information submitted to Yellowstone has been compromised.

13. Financial Information and Regulatory Privacy Rules

Depending upon the particular activity, client relationship, and entity providing a service, additional federal or state financial-privacy rules may apply.

A regulated Alliance Partner may separately provide a privacy notice required by laws or regulations applicable to that provider.

Yellowstone’s Website Privacy Policy does not replace any regulatory privacy notice that a financial institution, investment adviser, trust company, insurance professional, CPA, attorney, or other professional is independently required to provide.

14. Information Received From Financial Institutions or Professional Providers

Where Yellowstone receives protected information from a regulated financial institution or professional provider, Yellowstone may be subject to contractual, professional, statutory, or regulatory limitations concerning use and redisclosure of that information.

Yellowstone will handle such information consistently with applicable requirements.

15. Data Retention

Yellowstone may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide services;
  • maintain business and engagement records;
  • support professional coordination;
  • satisfy contractual obligations;
  • comply with applicable statutes of limitation;
  • fulfill tax, legal, compliance, or recordkeeping requirements;
  • prevent fraud;
  • resolve disputes; or
  • protect legal rights.

Retention periods may differ depending upon the nature of the information and the applicable relationship.

16. Data Breaches and Security Incidents

Yellowstone maintains procedures intended to identify and respond to material security incidents.

Where applicable law requires notification to affected individuals, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties, Yellowstone will provide notifications consistent with applicable requirements.

Alliance Partners remain independently responsible for security incidents affecting systems or data under their control.

17. Privacy Requests

Individuals may contact Yellowstone concerning personal information Yellowstone maintains about them.

Subject to applicable law, identity verification, regulatory retention requirements, contractual obligations, and professional requirements, Yellowstone may assist with requests to:

  • access information;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • update contact details;
  • request deletion of certain information;
  • withdraw certain permissions; or
  • opt out of marketing communications.

Requests should be directed to:

connect@yellowstonewealthgroup.com

Yellowstone may request information reasonably necessary to verify the identity and authority of the requester.

18. Marketing Communications

Individuals may unsubscribe from Yellowstone promotional email communications by using the unsubscribe mechanism contained in the communication or contacting Yellowstone.

An opt-out from promotional communications does not prevent Yellowstone from sending necessary transactional, service, administrative, security, regulatory, or relationship-related communications.

19. Text Messages and Telephone Communications

Where Yellowstone uses telephone or text-message communications for marketing purposes, Yellowstone will seek consent where required by applicable law.

Consent to receive marketing communications should not be required as a condition of purchasing a product or service where prohibited by law.

Recipients may withdraw consent to marketing text messages using instructions provided in the communication, including replying STOP where applicable.

20. Children’s Privacy

The Yellowstone website is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

Yellowstone does not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children through the public website.

In the context of legitimate estate, trust, insurance, financial, or family-office planning, Yellowstone or an Alliance Partner may receive information regarding minor beneficiaries or family members from a parent, guardian, trustee, client, attorney, or other authorized person.

Such information is handled according to the applicable engagement and legal requirements.

21. International Visitors

Yellowstone serves clients with international interests and the website may be accessed outside the United States.

Information submitted to Yellowstone may be processed or stored in the United States.

Individuals outside the United States should understand that U.S. privacy laws may differ from those applicable in their country.

If Yellowstone becomes subject to additional privacy requirements because it intentionally offers services to individuals in a jurisdiction with additional data-protection rules, Yellowstone will provide additional rights or notices where required.

22. Third-Party Websites

Yellowstone may provide links to separately operated websites.

Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies.

Yellowstone is not responsible for privacy or security practices of independent third-party websites.

23. Professional Confidentiality and Legal Privilege

Yellowstone treats client information with appropriate confidentiality, but communication with Yellowstone is not automatically protected by attorney-client privilege, accountant-client privilege, or another professional evidentiary privilege.

Where legal privilege is important, clients should communicate directly with appropriately engaged legal counsel regarding the applicable requirements.

24. Changes to the Privacy Policy

Yellowstone may update this Privacy Policy when business practices, technology, laws, or professional arrangements change.

The latest version will be posted on the website with the revision date.
